The MPS will be the first '2 in 2' degree to be offered by
any Land Grant University in the USA in partnership with a
State Agriculture University in India. The partnership will
provide sustainable gains in institutional building at
TNAU, and provide TNAU and Cornell graduates with a
considerable global integration opportunity with Cornell
and TNAU experts, and pave the way for the growth of
agribusiness industries in Tamil Nadu and the USA.
The first 2 'in' 2 degree MPS is focused on Food Science
and Technology (Cornell University, USA) and M.Tech. in
Food Processing and Marketing (TNAU, India) with additional
courses in other disciplines such as the biotechnology and

professionals who developed an awareness and expertise in
international food science technology, processing, value
addition, marketing, and management skills to benefit an
industry characterized by high levels of global
integration. The MPS students will also be trained to
engage in rural development that can bring sustainable
gains through enterprise development and technology
