The MPS will be the first '2 in 2' degree to be offered by any Land Grant University in the USA in partnership with a State Agriculture University in India. The partnership will provide sustainable gains in institutional building at TNAU, and provide TNAU and Cornell graduates with a considerable global integration opportunity with Cornell and TNAU experts, and pave the way for the growth of agribusiness industries in Tamil Nadu and the USA.

The first 2 'in' 2 degree MPS is focused on Food Science and Technology (Cornell University, USA) and M.Tech. in Food Processing and Marketing (TNAU, India) with additional courses in other disciplines such as the biotechnology and rural development.
